Terms of Use

By using Snapaw you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Snapaw is an entertainment app that lets you photograph dogs you meet in real life with the in-app camera, turn them into collection cards and fill a breed index (Dex). The service is provided by İkbal Ubade Aslan, a sole proprietorship based in Türkiye.

2. Your account

• Your account is anonymous: no name, email or password — it is a random identifier tied to your device.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
• Because the account is device-bound, your collection may not be recoverable if you delete the app or change devices. No account recovery is offered.
• You can permanently delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is not a dog, or photos focused on other animals or people.
• Cheat for points or cards: submitting someone else's photo, images downloaded from the internet or screenshots; automating the app, reverse engineering it, or forging server requests.
• Disturb, frighten or endanger animals, or harm an animal or its surroundings for a photo.
• Violate other people's privacy, trespass on private property, or break local laws.
• Disrupt the service, overload it, or attempt to bypass its security measures.

4. Your content and rights

The photos you take are yours. You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence solely to operate the service (store the photo, generate its thumbnail, process it for breed prediction). We do not use your photos in marketing or sell them to third parties. When you delete your account, this licence ends and your content is deleted.

The app itself (name, logo, design, breed index texts, code) belongs to the developer and may not be copied without permission.

5. AI predictions

Breed predictions are generated by AI, are for entertainment and can be wrong. They are not veterinary advice, pedigree documentation or an official breed determination, and the developer is not responsible for decisions made based on them.

6. Pricing

Snapaw is currently free and ad-free. If an optional subscription is introduced later, its price and terms will be shown clearly in the app before purchase; purchases are processed by the App Store / Google Play and refunds follow that store's rules.

7. Availability

The service is provided "as is". Outages, data loss, or features changing or being discontinued are possible. We do not guarantee that your collection is backed up. We may modify or discontinue the service, giving notice where reasonably possible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect damages, data loss, lost profits, or accidents occurring while you take photos. Staying aware of your surroundings and traffic while photographing is your responsibility.

9. Suspension

We may restrict or terminate access for accounts that breach these terms — in particular for cheating or abuse — without prior notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, with the courts of Istanbul having jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring claims before the consumer bodies and courts of your place of residence.

11. Changes and contact
