Nokturn (“the app”, “we”) is a dream journal app where you write and save your dreams and, if you choose, turn them into art with artificial intelligence. We care about your privacy. This policy explains, in plain words, what data we process and why.

You create: the dream text you write or record by voice; images and comics generated from your dreams; dream titles and tags (if any).
Account info: your email if you sign up; app language and theme preference; your subscription status (free / premium). If you start anonymously, only a random user ID.
Collected automatically (limited): monthly usage counters for quota; a device notification token to send notifications (if you allow it); basic error/stability logs.
Voice input: Your speech is transcribed by your device's own speech-recognition service. We do not store the audio; we keep only the resulting text as your dream entry.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, on servers in the European Union region. Your dreams are private by default — server-side security rules ensure that only you can access them.
When you turn a dream into art, your dream text is sent to an AI image provider (OpenAI) to generate the image. This text is used only to create your image and is not used by us to train models.
We do not sell your dreams and do not use them for advertising. We share data only with service providers needed to run the service: Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage, notifications); the AI image provider (dream text, only for image generation); RevenueCat (subscription status); App Store / Google Play (purchases — we never see your payment details). We may disclose data where legally required.
Nokturn shows no ads and does not collect an advertising ID.
Export: Export all your dreams as a text file from within the app (Profile → Export my data).
Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all data from within the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion is irreversible and removes all copies on the server.
Access / correction: Access and edit your data within the app.

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently deleted within a reasonable period; backup copies are cleared within the normal backup cycle.
Nokturn is not directed to users under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from users below this age.
If you find an AI-generated image inappropriate, you can report it with the flag icon in the app. Reports are reviewed and action is taken where needed.
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes we will notify you in the app or on this page. The “Last updated” date reflects the most current version.
